Hyperhidrosis affects 2.8% of the world’s population. What hyperhidrosis is a condition that abnormally increases perspiration in the body over the amount needed to maintain proper body temperature. In human speak it is having your body sweat more than necessary to keep you cool. Many people do not even realize that they have a condition and that it can be fixed. I remember that I used to think that I just ran warm.

For most people hyperhidrosis is suffered on one part of the body. This is usually relegated to the hands, feet, arm pits and groin. Though this is not 100% many people still suffer from hyperhidrosis on all parts of the body. Science has not provided us with an exact cause for hyperhidrosis. It’s tough to shake someone’s hand when you always are trying to avoid body contact. I remember numerous instances when I was embarrassed about by excessive sweating.

When we speak about cures for hyperhidrosis there are many that have come to the forefront. Many of these have had horrible side effects. One treatment that falls into this is ETS surgery. For many with ETS they have suffered from compensatory sweating. That is when the sweating just relocates to another part of the body.

Many people have also looked to Botox treatments. The issue with these treatments is that you need to go every couple of months and the treatments are expensive. You will also hear of people using antiperspirants when looking to cure hyperhidrosis. I found that the antiperspirants had a medicine smell and did not work for long.
